New Toy
Sophie got this for her birthday and it is the girls' favorite new toy!! The first few days Sophie wouldn't let Kayleigh go very fast, but Kaybay worked her magic and now they go almost too fast!! But they love it.

Graduation
I can't believe my little baby has graduated from kindergarten!! She is so grown up now! This past year we have seen our little girl grow into this wonderful little lady. She has become so confident and social and funny. Her teacher was so great and really helped Kayleigh this year. Kayleigh was one of the top readers in her class. She ended up on book 107!! She made so many great friends, especially her best friend, Gabby. We couldn't be more proud of her!

Each child went up and read an entry from their journals. They were all about what they want to be when they grow up. Kayleigh's was about wanting to be a teacher. She did a great job reading and I am amazed by how well she writes.

Getting her diploma from the principal:

After getting their diplomas, the class went on a parade through all of the older classes. It was really cute, everytime they walked into a classroom the kids started clapping for them.

Oh, and just a little side note....the invitation to the graduation said on the front, "Class of 2019". Scary!

Gator Olympics
Kayleigh's school has the Olympics at the end of every school year. It was a lot of fun. I was there volunteering so Sophie got to participate, too! (which didn't seem to bother Kayleigh too much!) And yes, we do love our new hat!

Obstacle course...the funny thing about this one was that there were arrows on the ground showing the kids which way to go, however the kindergartners were making up their own ways, paying no attention to the arrows at all. Sophie goes through it and follows the arrows very carefully. We were all laughing since the 4 year old got it, but the others didn't!!

Ducks! What?
Sophie and I were leaving to walk to the park and when we opened the front door there were two ducks that walked right up to Sophie. I immediately told Sophie to wait and I ran in to get my camera, came out and then told Sophie to wait again and ran in to get some bread. Poor little Sophie, in my rush to get the camera and bread, she was left standing outside with these ducks, not exactly sure what to do. But she loved throwing the bread to them and since then we have had duck visitors a couple more times!
This is what I saw when I came back outside...Sophie sort of frozen in place!

Skytram
We took the girls to the zoo over the weekend. This post is more about the skytram than it is about the zoo, though. We haven't used the tram in a year or so, so it was funny to watch their reactions on being so high up!!

After the first 5 minutes of panic, crying and arm squeezing they started to actually look out and by the time we were coming back down they were begging to go on it again! Good thing since the walk to see the polar bears is a long one!

Our Little Star
Kayleigh has a school performance today called Salute to America. It is the cutest thing ever! Sophie and I went to the dress rehearsal and the big show is tonight. She and her friend Gabby are the only two kindergartners in this act about the military. Can I just say that as a mom, it was really emotionally for me to watch my little baby up on the stage! She is getting to be so grown up!

500!!!
My friend Linda invited me to go with her to the Padres game. And I ended up seeing history!!! Trevor Hoffman had his 500th save, the first MLB pitcher to ever reach that milestone. It was probably the best sporting event I had ever been to!! Thanks Linda!!
His final pitch of the game (a strike!)

The Director and the Actress
So my two sneaky girls took my camera and hid in the bathroom to make a movie. And take a lot of pictures. Totally fitting to their personalities, Kayleigh was the director and Sophie was the actress. Gotta love the creativity and secretly I admire the stealth!!
